It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada! I just want to start by wishing everyone a warm, loved-filled thanksgiving. If any of you had family or/and friends coming to visit, I hope your time spent with them was special.
I took the time this weekend to sit back and reflect on what I am truly thankful/grateful for in my life. It’s safe to say I spent a lot of time reflecting because there are A LOT of things I am thankful for. I just want to start by saying I am most definitely grateful for my health, my family, and my friends. These are the basic things everyone should be thankful for, and if you’re not, well you’ve got some serious thinking to do.
I want to go into more detail about the things I am grateful for. I think it’s healthy and good to express your gratefulness in greater detail. Sometimes it helps others reflect on their lives, and sometimes it’s nice for other people to hear it.
To my parents, you guys mean so much to me it’s unbelievable. I want to move out ASAP (I make that way too obvious sometimes), but I am thankful that you’ve put a roof over my head my entire life. I am also thankful to come home everyday to endless love. I am thankful for your constant support in my ever changing career paths. Overall, I’m so damn thankful that I have you as my parents and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My dearest Brodie. I am thankful to have you as a big brother. It may not seem like you’ve done much, but you’ve taught me a lot, and I am thankful for that. You taught me to never be afraid of being who I am. You taught me that being weird was normal. You taught me to follow my dreams despite the expectations the world has of us. In all, I am thankful you are my brother.
To my friends (you know who you are). I am so freaking thankful to have a bunch of kick ass friends. You all are some serious crazy people for picking me to be your friend, but I’m so thankful you did. Thank you for always being my number ones’ and thank you for loving me through thick and thin. I owe a lot to you guys and I’m grateful for each and every one of you.
I am thankful for my health because it is truly a blessing to be on this earth. Waking up everyday healthy, is something everyone should be thankful for.
I am thankful for this amazing planet we live on. I am thankful for all of its beauty and creations. I am thankful that you’ve shared this planet so generously with myself and the rest of the world. ❤️🌎
Overall, I am thankful for a lot of things. My dog for being my trusty sidekick for 14 years. The education system for teaching me the knowledge of life. My bed for holding my body up and working hard to comfort me 7 days a week, 9+ hours a day. My pet sitting business for introducing me to SO many amazing dogs and owners. ETC.
Be thankful. Be grateful. Appreciate the smallest of things.
Smile to a stranger today 😊
